NEW Media Makers Out in the Field

This week the second group of our New Economics for Women (NEW) media makers took their digital video gear out into the field.

On the left, Team Sandra and Daniel interviewed the owner of a small business in their Van Nuys neighborhood.

Driven by her passion for animals, Media Maker Gabrielle visited the East Valley Animal Shelter to do a profile of one of the volunteers - Sherry Brewer.

Gabrielle interviewed Sherry and got shots of all the creatures in the shelter - including a shipment of rabbits.

Meanwhile, Team Airmis and Rosty spent an afternoon with audio engineer Derek Frankel inside his Van Nuys studio.

Derek, who owns 2Pop Labs, showed the guys how he creates soundtracks for movies and commercials, and shared some digital production tips to our young media makers.
